Okay, so I have to admit that I didn’t feel much commited to keeping up with the 12 days of Christmas when I didn’t get any feedback at all. So though we kept it up, and I will share them with you now…I just enjoyed those last few days before Christmas with the family. In all fairness, we were out of town for two days so we did the 11th day delivery before we left, and the 12th after we got back. Truthfully, if you are doing the actual 12 days of advent, then you started yesterday anyway and I’m technically ahead of the game. Right?! Soooo, Here is the 10th day of Christmas:
These cinnamon rolls are a no fail treat. The only time they didn’t turn out, was when my yeast had expired and I hadn’t realized it. They are so tastey, soft and moist. I just can’t think of making any other. When someone says Cinnamon Rolls, this is what I think of immediately!
Cake Mix Cinnamon Rolls
from the kitchen of Melinda (Mower) Shurtz
1 box (2 layer) yellow cake mix
2pkgs dry yeast (each measuring 2 1/4 tsp.)
1 T. Salt
2 1/2 C. Lukewarm Water
1 T. Vanilla
1/4 T flavoring
5 C. flour
melted butter
3/4 C. sugar
2 T cinnamon
Dissolve the cake mix, yeast, and salt in lukewarm water. Add flavorings and mix in flour. Mix well, no kneading. Allow to rise for about 1 hour in draft free place. Punch down. Roll out. Brush with butter. Srinkle over with cinnamon sugar. Slice 1/2 to 3/4 inches. Place on greased baking sheet. Let rise 45 min. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 15-20 min.
Bake at 350 degrees F. for 15-20 min.
ENJOY!
