We have this picture wall in our living room where we hang the children’s school year photos. The wall they are on adjoins to a pocket door, that whenever someone shut, would knock off one or two pictures- causing the frames to take quite a beating.
To keep the frames from falling, I had to come up with some sort of creative way to keep them in place. At the time I was working on a project that required this industrial strength velcro:
That’s when I thought I’d give it a try, and since I’ve been using it, not one crash-cringing accident has occured.
Here’s what I did:
Take one piece of velcro and cut it into strips.
Adhere one side to the frame
and the other side to the plate holder, ensuring that the velcro sides will meet one another once in place.
Then place the picture frame on the plate holder
and enjoy the sweet comments people make with each visit, never having to concern yourself with the worry of broken frames and glass when you hear that door being shut again.
(aaah. peace!)
It worked for us. Now for some dusting and nail hole filling.
Tootle-loo!
