Lightly Fall

The air around here is finally feeling cooler, giving us that sense of fall in the air. With that crisp fall feeling comes the desire to eat apple crisp, enjoy warm fires and have wonderfully sented candles burning in the home. As I was lighting the candles the other day, I was thinking how drab those candles looked. I was itching to do a fun craft project, so I pulled out my supplies and let the creativity flow.

Here is what I came up with:

The festive fall buttons add such a great affect to this candle. Tied with burlap and cotton pellon.

I love how rope gives a rustic fall, almost barnyard effect.

A bit of wire from an old matress spring tucked inside gives such added texture and interest.
Burlap has such great texture all it’s own, making it fun to create a knotted flower. If you haven’t tried making flowers, this is the perfect way to practice!

I’m loving how the group looks together with all their textures and variations of rich and neutral colors.

Such a touch of interest these candles add to our home now.
They are so beautiful lit.
Now I can relax and enjoy as the wonderful scents of autumn fill our home.
Happy Fall!
