31 Day Challenge- Numbered Cabinet Door Knobs

I have to say that I’m pretty excited about what I worked on today. Funny thing is, it isn’t that big of a project, nor did it turn out exactly how I’d planned. Aren’t those the ones that end up being our favorites?! Love when that happens. It never happens on purpose. If you’ve been following along, you know that I’m working now on our garage cabinets. (You can see the inspiration HERE if you missed it). I painted the cupboards 2 coats of white yesterday and decided to get busy on the knobs. I’ve always disliked the ones we’ve had and tried to make them do for many years. It just wasn’t going to work any longer. The relationship had come to a close…no working through it. *frown* So after seeing some inspiration from etsy, and talking to my mother for awhile, toying with the possibilities, I bought these wooden knobs.

Nice and chunky!

I gave them 3 coats of black spray paint.

(pardon the shine-lots of light in there)
Then with my Cricut, I cut out some white vinyl numbers. Stuck them on, top coating with three layers of clear sealer.
Don’t they look sleek? Now I can tell people where things are, when they ask, by what number cabinet they are in. Pretty clever, eh?!

Thanks, Mom!

Hugs,
Have cabinet inspiration? Tell me about it!

  1. Michelle, they are awesome! Love the idea of being able to tell anyone who asks which number cabinet something is located. Yes, they are sleek and fun! Love what you have done!
