31 Days of Completion- Umbrella Sign

I’m not gonna lie. After working on this project, I was reminded why I stop and move on to something else. It isn’t that I don’t want to finish what I start, it’s that I simply get road blocked at e-v-e-r-y turn! Don’t worry, I’m not going to go into all of the gory details. Let’s just say I’m happy to finally have it completed.

After I found this Umbrella Sign on pinterest, I was inspired as to how I wanted to decorate my mud room. Yellow has always been my favorite color. When I was growing up, my room always had yellow. It’s a cheery and fun color. But for some reason, I never seem to decorate with it. So when I was trying to decide what I wanted to do in there and how I wanted the general feel to be, I ran into this picture and knew!

Sunny Yellow Decor for a Coastal Summer Look

I absolutely went giddy over this! I knew I wanted to have something in there to do with rain (since we get so much of it here in Coastal Oregon (kinda coastal, it is Eugene). It almost rains here as much as Seattle. That’s a-LOT.
Then my followers on Pinterest must have thought I went Sunshine Lunatic. The Lunacy never ends…truly.
But I was thrilled to finally have some inspiration.  I needed to make mine a little wider and shorter for measurement sake, but am happy overall with the way it turned out!
Soon I will be able to reveal the whole room, but for now, this will have to do.
Let’s just call it somewhat of a “Sneak Peak”, shall we?

I just can’t wait to show you what else I have been doing in there!
