Hi Everyone, I am Tammy and I blog over at One More Time Events
I was very excited when Michele asked One More Time to be part of her Summer Home Tour Series. For those of you that are not familiar with One More Time, I would like to tell you a little about us. We here at One More Time are very passionate for do-it-yourself décor, repurposing, gardening and all things that keeps our creative mind going. Here you will find every day is an Event.
I am happy you are here. I would love to share with you all on how we have added summer to our home

One of my favorite things to do is to use out of the ordinary pieces to plant in, especially Vintage items Here on the front porch is a Vintage Sewing basket Address Planter Box that was recently done for our summer porch
Come on in…

Most of the time you will be greeted by Abby and two others, but this time Abby wanted to be in on some of the Summer fun.

Right inside the door is the buffet, I believe the entry sets the stage for the rest of your home and makes a statement about your style personality. Regardless of the size of your space, you can create a functional and welcoming entry to set the style of your home. Here on the buffet I have used mostly whites, white candle sticks with grey candles, artichoke candle holders filled with greenery creating a nest for some white song birds. Cake plate for a single ceramic rose bud, pitcher filled with greenery and a white pedestal dessert stand filled with yellow pears to bring summer to this buffet

Just to the right of the door is our Farmhouse Hall Tree that was repurposed from our old coffee table.

To decorate the hall tree for summer a wide striped grey beach tote is filled with tulips.

To the right is the living room… this chair has been through it all. It has been painted, covered and recovered in a Natural Cotton Duck Wing Chair Slipcover which I wanted white, so it was bleached. To add summer to this chair a grey, a white and yellow throw was added, along with a printed white and yellow throw pillow. The ottoman was made and covered with a white, yellow and grey print using fabric napkins.

To the side of the chair is a farmhouse drop leaf table, when adding summer decorations I chose to use mainly floral and yellow fruits.
A white pedestal bowl was filled with pears, while another white bowl was filled with lemons and covered with a bird cage.

going back to the entry straight ahead is the kitchen to the left and the family room to the right

On the Farmhouse red and yellow apples are set out for everyone to enjoy!
On the right of the kitchen area is the family room. As I mentioned above, to bring summer to this area, some hydrangeas were clipped and brought in and placed in some white chalk painted jugs.

Summers here in Cali can get pretty hot.. Being outdoors on early mornings and late evenings are my favorite times to sit and enjoy the outdoors and our new rustic/vintage side garden.

I hope you enjoyed this summer tour of my home as much as I did putting it together for you all. Thank you Michele, for inviting me to share how I added summer to our home!
~Tammy
Thank YOU Tammy! What a priviledge to view your beautiful home.
Don’t you think it has such a refreshing vibe, you can almost feel the cool air as soon as you make it through the front door! I think I can speak for everyone when I say that her house is gorgeously inviting, can’t I? And how about that rustic garden, huh? You’ll have to go see more of that on her blog. I promise it is worth taking the time to check out. She makes it all seem so effortless that you feel you can create a home like hers too.
Oh, and don’t forget to come on back next Friday for another beautiful home tour. Thank you for enjoying Tammy’s here with me today!
